He will be leading an interactive workshop titled “Respect, A Remnant of the Past? Effective Strategies for teaching children respect in our turbulent times” at Torah Day School at 8:00 PM on Sunday, night. The cost is $10 a person or $15 a couple.

Charming, charismatic, and extremely popular, Rabbi Zakon delivers many weekly classes including on relationships and character development. He is also a frequent guest lecturer for community organizations. A native of New York who received his ordination from Beth Medrash Govoha Rabbinical Seminary in 1998, Rabbi Zakon enjoys biking, good books, and good conversation. He and his wife Devorah, who received her M.A. in speech pathology from Brooklyn College in 1996, joined the ranks of DATA in August 2000. They have four children, Miriam, Yaakov, Shifra and Nechuma.
